Hotshot service handles time-critical loads that cannot wait for a scheduled truck: a line-down part, a missed delivery window, a job site waiting on material. The freight is dispatched directly rather than routed through a network.

Same-day delivery collects and drops on the same working day, for freight that cannot wait for the next scheduled run. Scheduled delivery is the other half of it: a standing window you can plan a dock, a crew or a production line around.

Commercial deliveries go dock to dock, where there is a bay, a forklift and someone expecting the truck. Residential deliveries have none of that, so they are handled differently: curbside access, no dock, and unloading equipment carried on the truck.

Final mile is the last leg of a shipment, from the point it lands locally to the address it was bought for. Pairing it with storage and handling means freight can be received, held and released on the receiver’s schedule rather than the trailer’s.
